   Farmers don't plant for one year's yield, and a county shouldn't budget for one. In 12 years as your First District Commissioner, including as Chairman of the Finance Committee, Whitt pushed the county toward long-range budget planning.

   A county government that costs you less

   Whitt makes payroll at Whitt's Place and works a century farm, and he knows every dollar the county spends came off somebody's table. He wants a county government that's easier to watch, cheaper to run, and able to get things done.

   Straight answers, and one county

   When neighbors couldn't get straight answers, Whitt demanded them. That's what uniting the county looks like: everybody gets a straight answer and everybody gets a seat. As mayor he'll build working partnerships with the Commission, our four cities, the schools, the Road Department, and businesses large and small.
