When and where to vote
Two ways to cast your ballot for Claiborne County Mayor: vote early, or vote on Election Day.
Early Voting
October 14 – 29, 2026
Early voting takes place at the Claiborne County Election Commission office. If you'd rather not wait in line on Election Day, or you'll be working that Tuesday, this is the easy way to get it done.
Election Day
Tuesday, November 3, 2026
Polls are open county-wide. Vote at your assigned precinct. See polling locations below.
Hear the candidates first
Candidate Debate · Tuesday, October 13, 7 pm
The night before early voting opens, the candidates debate in the large courtroom at the Claiborne County Courthouse. Come hear them in person, or watch it streamed live on The Big One 106.3's Facebook page.
Polling locations
Precinct-by-precinct polling places are published by the Claiborne County Election Commission, which is the authority on where you vote and the only list worth trusting.

Before you vote
Register by Monday, October 5, 2026
State law closes registration 30 days before Election Day. If you've moved, changed your name, or never registered here, do it before that date or you can't vote in this one.
Voting absentee by mail
Tennessee requires a qualifying reason to vote by mail, and your request has to be in well over a week before Election Day. The exact cutoff has changed recently, so don't sit on it. Call the Election Commission and they'll tell you where you stand.
Early voting hours
Day-by-day hours are set by the Election Commission. Check their site below, or call the office and ask.
